Centre for Abandoned and Injured Pokemon - Map
Weedle Woods: These woods have been specially planted for common woodland Pokemon that
may need our assistance - Weedles, Caterpies, Pidgeys, Spearows, even some less common types such as Mankeys.
The trees planted here have been chosen for their edible berries and leaves, and thus the Pokemon can learn to
feed themselves.
Nidoran Meadows: The grassland here has been specially landscaped to give the impression of hillocks and it has been planted
in bushes to provide the meadowland Pokemon with some form of protection.
Poliwag Pond: This is more a lake than a pond, and it has been populated with fish (although these have a fairly
short life span). Bushes and specially constructed caves around the outside provide the Pokemon with shelter and resting places.
Barn: Here is where the majority of food preparation goes on, it is also where we keep any Pokemon
that need to be confined in Pokeballs. More-or-less, the barn is our facility for storage.
Aviaries and Pens: Here in the facility, we prefer out Pokemon to be more-or-less living as they
would in the wild. These pens are thus only used for Pokemon that will not behave, cannot be released and do not get
along with other Pokemon. They are retained in here for several months until they have calmed down enough to be released.
Laboratory: Here is where injured and sick Pokemon are treated, by our devoted Nurse Joy and Chansey.
It is also a place where we can study individual Pokemon in a controlled situation. It is hoped that when we are
more succesfully underway, that people can come in here to study Pokemon of their choice.
This is not a zoo. It is a rehabilitation centre, and sometimes, our Pokemon are released into
the wild. This process is much more difficult than it sounds.
We do not just let the Pokemon go, unless they have only suffered a minor injury and were wild in the first place.
After spending some monthes at the Centre, Pokemon that are capable of being released are taken to the area where
they were either found or would be found. Here they are kept in a cage for a short while, and then released into the wild. ONce they have been released,
they are watched carefully, and interactions with wild Pokemon are noted with interest.
The joy of our work is watching an abandoned, unwanted Pokemon roaming free, with its wild kin.
