Newlsetter December/JanuaryChristmas was a busy time at the Sanctuary, what with people coming to visit their adoptees and also some of the better adjusted ones finding new homes. Kameron and I have been quite rushed off our feet and I have not had time to update my page. But, here we go now! Charmelia has recovered well from her illness - thanks to all of you who sent her "get well" cards and things for her to burn. She is now up and about, wandering again. The fact that she had to experince a lot of close contact has actually tamed her quite nicely and she seems to see us now not as a threat, but as a friend. The big news would have to be Showers, who happened to have a litter on, believe it or not, Christmas Day, four delightful baby Eevees were born. Now they are getting quite active and really being a challenge for their parents! We love them all to pieces though, and when they are two months old, they will most likely find new homes as pets. It would appear that thanks to your help and concern, Showers is now a normal Vaporeon once more! Eevee and Tina are still causing trouble, these two wild girls have recently been shown an interest in by the Eevee Breeding Society, and with any luck we will be able to find mates for them. Venonatty, unfortunately, ate too much Christmas pudding and became quite ill. We had to pump his stomach. Luckily he is getting back on his feet now, and will soon be back to his old self. There is one sad thing to note however. We have had a lot of Pokemon brought in recently from people who got given them as pets for Christmas and either cannot look after them or will not. One such critter is Puggles, a three year old Buru/Smeagle cross. She is a delightful critter, but the people who brought her in had been given her as a present, even though they already had several Houndour of their own. NAturally this gentle creature did not mix well with the more aggressive dogs. Please, if you are giving someone a pet as a present, ask them first! It might steal the surprise, but at least they won't wind up with something they cannot look after! Another critter we had brought in was a wild Vulpix. Someone had bought this from a Dealer as a hand-trained, gentle house pet, and was quite surprised when it attacked them and devestated their house, attacking their resident (domesticated) Vulpix. We have got the proper authorities to investigate and it would appear that the Dealer was in fact just capturing wild Pokemon and selling them to unsuspecting people. Never, ever buy a pet without seeing it beforehand. The Vulpix has since been released back into the wild, basically as soon as we managed to get details on where he had been caught. We hope he is doing well. Oh, and we also had a visit from a man named Raven, here's what happened below (written by him) Anyway, that's it for this month. ~*~ Kataryna D. Lemusu ~*~ Raven's Umbreon Raven was in a great mood today. He had just recieved his pokemon trainers license and was reay to find his first pokemon. He happily carrened downthe roadway on his bike with trailer in tow. He had the trailer for a good reason, not only did this cargo trailer carry his camping stuff, but it had ample room for pokemon supplies. Raven had heard that there were pokemon up for adoption to good trainers at CAIP. He didn't want to waste time or pokeballs trying to catch his first pokemon without the help of a pokemon in the first place.
Raven was resting in guest quarters, waiting for the news. Kataryna came in looking a little out of it. "So," asked Raven, "how is the Umbreon?"
The Umbreon did indeed seem to have impressed on Raven. Raven had done much of the work in nursing the Umbreon back to health, and afterwards, as Raven went about to do some volunteer work at CAIP, the Umbreon had followed him everywhere, even into the sunlight. The Umbreon seemed to follow him around like a shadow, and thus became the name of the Umbreon. Raven took good care of Shadow while he was at CAIP, and even made a set of sunglasses for him so he would be less uncomfortable in the sun.
The End, for now... If you wish to adopt one of the pups from the lot below, simply email me with your name, your URL, what you wish to name your pup and the number of the one you want. And here's the little pup's themselves! 1: Gender - female 2: Gender - male
