The Lemurs of the Night

Galagost - the Bush Baby Pokemon
A small, scarcely seen Pokemon that lives in rainforests, Galagost has a very mournful call, which sounds almost exactly like that of a baby. This has led to great superstition against this dimunitive pokemon, and to hear one is supposed to fortell torment.

Grymlin - the Prankster Dolfin
Evolves from Galagost, Grymlin prefers to live near human habitations, where it sneaks in and uses telekinesis to move objects around. It loves to cause trouble, and Grymlin have been known to lead the unwary traveller astray. They are very swift creatures, capable of jumps many times their body size and thus easily avoid capture.

Ghoulaiy - The Aye-Aye Pokemon
Ghoulaiy is extremely rare. They have been hunted nearly to extinction by humans, who loathe them for their mysterious powers and believe them harbingers of disaster. The moon shape on the Ghoulaiy's forehead changes with the phases of the moon, and indeed, when the moon is at its fullest, Ghoulaiy's powers are greatly increased. Its most bizarre feature is its elongated middle digit, with which it can curse someone, or something, by the mere act of pointing at them. This has led to hatred towards it.

The real animals:
Galagost is based on the BushBaby, or Galagos, a small prosimian native to Africa. It is named for the call it makes, eerily like that of a crying baby.
Grymlin is loosely based on the Tarsier, although with some gremlin tendencies... Tarsiers are very small, and named for their long tarsial bone in their legs. This makes their hind legs look very much like those of a frog, and when Tarsiers jump, it appears almost without effort. They were the inspiration for the gremlin and also Yoda from "Empire Strikes Back".
And Ghoulaiy is based on the Aye-aye, the only one of these species that actually is a lemur. It is a most bizarre creature, looking like something out of a fairytale. They live only on one island, Nosy Mangabe, which is off Madagascar, and are extremely rare. They use their long middle digit to probe for insects in crevices, and there is much folklore and hatred against them.
